24 October 2025 This is one of the best email scams I have seen in terms of clever content but the scammer has let themselves down by using an obviously fake email address and a series of fake web addresses which have nothjing to do with legitimate cloud storage
Noting the dodgy sender email address as well as the lack of addressee details which would of course be known to a legitimate service provider
But the content is pretty convincing

Following any of the links takes you to aweb page which auto-redirects you to a series of differet web pages all of which have the same content
The first link takes you to http://warmwandering.com/t? noting that the long string of characters are part of the web address for whatever reason
You are then auto-redirected to one of a number of different web pages including
https://www.uzseriesdigpro.autos/1j89qlqnp/l?
https://www.ultimatevolscreenus.autos/1j89qp3vu/l?
https://www.tab-product-bio-verified.autos/1j89qrdtt/l?
https://www.shieldguardcyberfast.autos/1j89r5ca0/l?
https://www.fastoptimizedaccurateproactive.autos/1j89r6vd4/l?
and so on, no idea how many different pages are involved noting that most if not all of these pages will be shut down sooner rather than later
Noting the genuine Google logo without mentioning the word "Google"
Noting the threat of losing all of your data
But if you do, this is what you see next
You can't see in this screen capture but the web page itself has a beautifully crafted animated graphic apparently showing your storage usage with a pulsing Upgrade Storage button drawing your attention
Note the "stopped updating" status against all of your cloud data items
Note also that you only a few minutes to act, a sense of urgency is a key weapon in any scammer's arsenal
Needless to say, you can still upgrade your storage after the timer ends...
Note also the low price, it's only two bucks, what's the worst that could happen??
But if you do, this is what you see next
Note that you have qualified!

Well, I was not expecting this!
Total Drive is a Cloud storage and backup service which is legitimate
But they are getting a lot of flak online for their dodgy marketing tactics
So all the palaver above is designed to get you to their web page
But it's not $1.99 is it, they want $19 in the first year and $99 for every year ater that!
So it's not the end of the world (which is what I was expecting) if you fall for this scam
Even the PayPal link is genuine where we thought that might be a link to a bogus PayPal web page
But it is an excallent example of how sophisticated scams will continue to becomein the longer term
